OUR STORY & ATAMI | From Atami to the world
Atami has long flourished as a hot spring resort, and is an attractive place with abundant nature surrounded by the sea and mountains, historic architecture, and retro townscapes that evoke a sense of nostalgia.
We were attracted to the cultural background of this area and the abundance of botanicals that grow here, and so we decided to set up our distillery in Atami.
The citrus fruits and botanicals used are locally sourced wherever possible, and while respecting the local climate and traditions that have been passed down through the generations, we are working with local people to create a new style of craft gin that is rooted in Atami.
From this distillery, we will deliver the charm of Atami and a unique drink to the world.

A bartender turned distiller
Kamatani, CEO and Head Distiller of SEACLIFF, began working in the bartending world in his 20s.
After training at top bars in Ginza and Minami-Aoyama, he gained experience in setting up a number of establishments before opening his own bar, "SEVEN THREE," in Nishi-Azabu.
He then joined Tysons & Company, a leader in Tokyo's restaurant industry, where he worked as bar director, developing drinks for each store.
While touring distilleries, wineries, and sake breweries both in Japan and overseas, we came into contact with the passion of the brewers,
Gradually, he began to feel the desire to "make sake with my own hands that embodies the charm of the land."
Fascinated by Atami's botanicals, in 2024 we established the SEACLIFF Atami Distillery in Atami, a place where the sea, the origin of our long-standing love for surfing, still lives.
From the selection of ingredients to the production and even the final cocktail, we pour our heart and skill into everything we do in our pursuit of fine drinks.

Atami Distillery
SEACLIFF Atami Distillery is located on Kiunkaku Street, a street steeped in Atami's atmosphere and history.
At its center is the Arnold Holstein still, built by skilled German craftsmen, exuding an overwhelming presence.
The elaborate copper curves, all handcrafted, are as beautiful as musical instruments. This is a rare distillery where you can enjoy your drink while experiencing the power of these instruments up close.
SEACLIFF is made from carefully selected ingredients unique to Atami, such as Izu Shirahama juniper, Atami's specialty orange, and rare wakame seaweed.
Enjoy a superb cup of coffee while taking in the Atami atmosphere and savoring the magnificent Arnold Holstein cows beside you.

BAR SEACLIFF
At BAR SEACLIFF, located next to the distillery, you can enjoy cocktails made with SEACLIFF's craft gin while taking in the unique atmosphere of a distillery.
The fruits, herbs and spices used in making gin are also used in cocktails.
The citrus fruits delivered from the farm are used to make gin, and the juice is used to make freshly squeezed juice in the bar, and everything down to the syrup is homemade.
The ingredients are sourced locally, mainly from Atami and Izu.
We value simple yet profound flavors that allow you to feel the aroma of the land and the seasons.
Sometimes SEACLIFF's craft gin is the star of the drink, and other times it plays a supporting role, bringing out the unique character of the drink.
Enjoy a one-of-a-kind cocktail experience while taking in the views of the distillery.

STANDARD CRAFT GIN | 6 types of spirits
"STANDARD CRAFT GIN" is a blend of scent, season, scenery and story
──Six different spirits, each with a different theme, are blended together to create the final product.
6 spirits:
・A London-style dry gin with a gentle orange aroma ・Citrus notes capturing the freshness of Atami citrus fruits ・Herbal notes with the warmth of the earth and the lingering aftertaste of freshly picked fruit ・Soft floral notes like a spring breeze ・Savory notes derived from seaweed with the scent of the sea breeze ・Clear woody notes reminiscent of a forest after the rain
By repeatedly adjusting the blending ratio,
As we continued to question what it means to be "SEACLIFF-like," each individuality finally found a harmony.
Enjoy the harmony of fragrances with complexity and depth that cannot be expressed with a single botanical.

Bottle Design
Every SEACLIFF bottle is packed with as much care as the flavour.
We chose a simple form that is easy to use and timeless.
This balance of functionality and beauty was achieved through the bartender's experience handling numerous bottles.
To express the uniqueness of SEACLIFF, which has a theme of "sea," we have adopted the transparent Italian glass stopper "Binolock."
The bottle's mouth was specially shaped by the manufacturer to fit this stopper, creating a one-of-a-kind shape.
The label design was arrived at after more than two years of trial and error.
The embossed Japanese paper, which is beautiful to the touch, features a map of Atami and a playful design showing the distillery's location.
Each piece is carefully pasted by hand.
The bottle design aims to have a transparent appearance that evokes the clear beauty of the sea.

STANDARD CRAFT GIN | Taste
"STANDARD CRAFT GIN" is characterized by its elegant flavor, with a refreshing citrus aroma of orange as its core, combined with soft herbal and floral notes and a subtle umami flavor derived from seaweed.
This product won a silver medal at the London Spirits Competition 2025, an international competition for distilled spirits from around the world.
Judges' tasting notes:
The scent of pine and pink pepper evokes the forest, and when you put it in your mouth, soft tropical fruit nuances spread.
The aftertaste is pleasantly lingering, with a refreshing acidity reminiscent of guava and lychee, and a mineral spice.
You can enjoy it on the rocks, with soda, or in cocktails.
Please enjoy a cup of coffee made using the bounty of the sea and the earth and ingredients grown by local people.
