SEACLIFF is a member of 1% for the Planet and donates a portion of its sales to ocean and environmental protection.
1% for the Planet is an international network in which member companies donate 1% of their annual sales to non-profit organizations working to protect the environment.
It was founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Matthews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies.
It has now grown into a global network of thousands of companies and environmental organizations, and has donated more than 26.5 billion yen to environmental conservation worldwide.

SEACLIFF's Initiatives
SEACLIFF's donation will be made to the Future Creation Department, which carries out a wide range of environmental conservation activities in Atami with the goal of "leaving a clean and fun Earth for future generations."
Projects by the Future Creation Department (excerpts)
・Blue Carbon Project: Absorbing CO₂ by restoring seaweed beds in the sea of Atami ・Experiment on removing microplastics using seaweed ・Installing nets at the mouth of the Ito River, which flows into Atami Port, to collect and process plastic waste that flows from the river into the sea ・Carbonization of harvested seaweed or conversion into gas energy, etc.
Through its Future Creation Department and Blue Carbon Network, SEACLIFF is engaged in community-based initiatives such as seaweed bed restoration activities and beach cleanups.
